This is a VA website for requesting status of open claims.  I sent in a request on 7 November and had a response on 9 November.  It does not speed up the process but at least it would give anyone with an open claim the knowledge that the request is still be handled, and whether is it is still being developed, pending decision, under further review, awaiting final approval, etc:.  Could give someone peace of mind that claims submitted months ago for the new presumptives is being worked on by VA
