DFAS’s New Web Page and New Retired Pay and Annuitant Office-DFAS has instituted a “new and improved” website for retired military personnel and annuitants. (Among other improvements the retired pay section has been shortened from 88 pages to 26.) This is part of bringing the retired pay and annuitants’ offices back in house after being with an outside contractor for the last several years. It will be interesting to see if services improve. They are clearly working hard to be a success with their new tasking (or their former tasking that they just got back). They are reaching out to people and help people-so if you have any problems or questions NOW is the time to contact them. The webpage certainly seems better.
