Lawton OK Honor Flights WW2 Vets to Washington May 4th 
There is a plane leaving from Lawton to Washington on 4 May to take WWII Veterans to see the monuments. The flight is free for WWII Veterans. If a caretaker accompanies them, the caretaker (wife will have to pay $500). It will leave early in the morning and return back that night. The veteran must be able to walk the distance of a Football field. In addition, they must be able to climb the stairs into the airplane. Our President Pat Powell has the applications, but they have to act soon before the plane is full.

The WWII Veteran does not have to be a VVA Member.

Oklahoma Honor Flights recognizes American veterans for their sacrifices and achievements by arranging for them to visit Washington, D.C., to see their memorial at no cost.
Top priority - for which Oklahoma Honor Flights is accepting applications only - is given to World War II and terminally ill veterans from all wars.
In time, Oklahoma Honor Flights will be expanded, to include Korean and Vietnam veterans.
For Oklahoma Honor Flights to achieve this goal, guardians fly with the veterans on every flight to provide assistance and to ensure veterans have a safe, memorable and rewarding experience.
"Our surviving heroes paid a price for freedom. They built a nation one community at a time. The least we can do is say thanks," according to Oklahoma Honor Flights.
The goal is to have three flights in 2012 as the group did in 2011. Oklahoma Honor Flights intends to take at least 100 veterans on each trip.
