Veterans website
We at the Marine Corps Association are excited to tell you about our new partnership with an organization doing important work to benefit veteran and active-duty Marines throughout the country - and your opportunity to be a part of it.
Locate Marines You Served With. Run by retired military, TogetherWeServed.com (TWS) is the largest military heritage website for current and former U.S. service members to reconnect with old friends. No matter where you live, where you were stationed, or when/where you served, you can quickly and easily search for and find former Marine Brothers and Sisters through TogetherWeServed.com. TWS is connecting service members more than any other entity – it currently includes profiles of more than 1.2 million veterans (300,000 Marines) and active duty members from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard. With more than 2.5 million photos, videos, and stories, TogetherWeServed.com has one of the largest collections of visual military memoirs in existence.
Joseph Barca, PFC, a TWS member since 2005, commented: "Thank you for keeping this site free of phonies and advertising, that alone is worth a lot and finding a lost buddy is worth a whole lot more. I've found 15 so far through TWS. Hats off to you and the TWS staff - still the best Marine site on the net."
Create a lasting record of your service.
TogetherWeServed.com allows you to record your Marine Corps service on your personal "Service Biography" page, specially formatted to include images of your medal ribbons, insignia and badges as-worn on your uniform. You can also upload unlimited photos and video to support your memories. When you post your duty stations, plus associated timeframe, you will be instantly presented with an "Also There" list of all other TWS members who served with you at the same time. Every piece of your service information is presented in a "Shadow Box" presentation, [click HERE to view an example], providing a permanent space to chronicle your Marine Corps service and share it with family and friends via your own special web address.
Is there a fee? There is no charge to join TogetherWeServed.com and create, maintain and share your service biography page and shadow box. For an optional annual membership fee of $19.95, you can also review service biographies and photo galleries of all other members on all five TWS service branch websites, participate in various discussion boards, and more. In recognition of their service, veterans of World War II are automatically awarded Honorary Life Membership to the website.
How can I join? We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to reconnect with your Marine Brothers and Sisters and create a lasting legacy of your service to this great country. Registration is quick and easy. To become a TWS member, register at Marines.TogetherWeServed.com. If you have questions, please contact the TWS Admin Chief, GySgt Denise Kincaid, at admin@togetherweserved.com.
